So, in case you missed it, the world did not end yesterday. However, if you had your heart set on fire and brimstone, there was some to be found in Iceland, where the Grímsvötn volcano began erupting from deep beneath the Vatnajökull glacier. So far, all reports are saying the eruption is fairly small and it will not be causing the same flight disruptions that Eyjafjallajökull caused last year. Good news for us travellers; bad news for those who thought the eruption was a sign of The Rapture.
